I am pretty familiar with butchering and have processes my own game meat for many years. When I make my sausage I purchase hot or sheep casings. So I was thinking why couldn't I use rabbit 'casings' for rabbit sausage.
Has anyone tried this?

They are pretty fragile and not very big so even if they survived the cleaning and stuffing process I doubt it would be worth it for the tiny amount of meat they could hold.

Dood's right... I don't know how thick other animal intestines are, but rabbit intestines are very thin. And they wouldn't hold much... I don't think they would stretch much more in diameter than your average bunny berry.

Sorry about that. :( Hey, nothing says you can't try anyway (and report your results). :)

I've never stuffed sausage before, so I can only speak to what it looks like to me. I've seen someone cleaning out pig intestines for sausage, and rabbit intestines are narrower. But can I say anything for sure? No, I really can't.
