Is castor aka chestnut? And is agouti a color or a group of colors? I know castor is agouti.

I am so very color dumb :?

As far as I know, Rex and Mini Rex are the only breeds that call the black agouti by a different name, all the other ones just call it Chestnut.

The other names are the same.

ME TOO !! and I must say I am pretty good at colour genetics.

No your not. I find it ridiculous to call a Rex and Angoras and Palamino and Flemmish Giants different names for the SAME colour genotype.

I don't like it when it happens in dog breeds either.

I don't either!!! Sable in dogs should be Sable in rabbits, in what ever else that color comes in.

I try to use the genetic names all the time, Unless I am addressing Rex people specifically.

At least the genetic letters are close enough, A always equals the dominant wild gene. Agouti is generally banded hair with ticking in dogs and rabbits.

Hy Dood, I am supposed to complete a color primer with Disney, been kind of putting it off, started it with a few pictures.

You are in charge of Steel, hehehe... and Vienna. Two genes I don't deal with in a Rex herd.
