So I'm looking at Klubertanz.com and came accross their h-series (rectangular, hanging cages w/o pans). Planning on housing an American Blue buck. So thinking of a 24"x30" cage size? I notice it has only one door. My arms measure about 20"? So I'm wondering if I'm going to have a hard time reaching around the cage to get to the rabbit. What is your review on the cage? Should I go bigger or smaller? Thanks for your help.

I've got all 30" deep cages. Hopefully, I'll be adding another 80 holes over the next couple of months.

Guarantee you they won't be 30" deep. I'm going with 24's. I have a hard time getting all the way back into the corner of a 30" cage.

grumpy.

I've purchased wire from Klubertanz - excellent company to work with and very happy with the quality of their stuff. Have not purchased pre-cut or pre-built pens.

All of my pens are 24" deep and my mom can reach into them just fine. (Kinda depends on how high you hang them.) When they're just the right hight, there aren't any problems.

I have 24" X 36" cages and sometimes have a hard time getting hold of a rabbit if they get back in the corner. I would not recommend 30" deep cages.

I have American Blues, and I use 24"X36" (Bass, not Klubertanz, couldn't resist the easier shipping from their much closer location) for all. This size is probably considered luxurious for bucks, but I don't mind spending a little extra on infrastructure for half the herd's comfort. Plus having the cages all the same size means that I can move the rabbits around as needed without worrying about anyone being crowded. And I like putting in "bunny buckets" (search the forums for the awesome tutorial on those) for the majority of my rabbits who don't eat them. The buckets fit nicely into the larger cage. I have no problem reaching into all corners of my cages, and I am an average-sized woman. Like Suburban Homesteader said, cage height is also important for determining how easy it is to access all parts of the cage.
