Rescued two bunnies today. This shady old man was so rough on them, he was practically suffocating them while carrying them to me, he hands the mini rex to me saying "Careful, she's reallyyy wild!" and she freaked out a little obviously scared, and very skittish- but SHE isnt wild, she was abused and once she realized I wouldnt handle her roughly, she calmed down. The first thing I notice about her is the horrid stench and dander and chunks of hair falling everywhere off of her bony, starved little body. The next bunny came in a box. I eagerly looked in not knowing what to expect- she was a holland lop covered in pee, and chicken poop and feathers. She also smelled really bad and had rabbit droppings stuck under her tail :(

Both bunnies are hungry. We hurried them home, got them settled with cages full of hay and fresh food and water, and bathed them and dewormed them.

They enjoyed their baths and being blow dried, I cant wait to see them happy and healthy again!

Oh geez...poor things...at least you have them now...I know I have a soft heart I can't help but want to save mistreated, neglected, or hurt bunnies if I'm able. I remember my rabbit Lolly when I got her...I was looking for another Flemish and that's what she was advertized as...went to buy her...she is clearly a mixed breed and looked as if she hadn't been fed in weeks O_O The second I held her I didn't care that she wasn't a flemish, I just couldn't let her go back home with those people. she is doing lots better and is back to a healthy weight so I hope your new bunnies recover just as quickly ^.^ Do be careful about their food intake at first though...sometimes starved animals can make themselves very sick if they suddenly have abundant food by over eating or eating way to quickly (lots the first rabbit I tried to rescue do to that sadly)

Onyx and Echo can't say it themselves, so I'll say it for them- THANK YOU!

I hope they can enjoy their lives now.

Thank You for saving them.
I can not stand seeing any animal get mistreated. It really makes my blood boil.
I never knew you could give a rabbit a bath. I had though about it a couple of times. But I was afrad
they would get sick from being soaked.
live and learn.
