There are the odd good ones, but not that many breeders seem to be actually working on them, so most seem to be coming from the same places and thus have a lot of the same faults. They don't seem to be competing as well yet.. I think because you have to bring in better type which is in the other colours and then you have to wait several generations and to chance to get the reds you want. I guess there are not a lot of patient breeders lol
 
I don't think I've seen a show quality red at a show or advertised in our district. Lots of blacks, blues, rew, and black otters with a few castor and opal, the odd lynx, and a handful of chocolates and lilacs. I've seen himis and torts advertised and have some with himi on the pedigree but I haven't seen many at shows.
 
I know who you mean Cait but i won't mention on the forum, simply because what she sells isn't really competing here at all(In Ontario anyways). Although I guess one must take into account what kind of breeding program the buyer would be using. I just found her prices kind of high for what you got.. It would be a starting point if you were going to do a lot more work on them yourself, but if you are looking to compete on the tables right away, don't expect too much! :)
