Just need a little bit of info from you veterans, if I was to sell pure white and pure black hides finished what would I realistically get in price? By finished I mean either A)tanned, stretched, cleaned, and oiled or B) just tanned and allowed to dry hard. I was thinking of selling to purchase what I need to start sewing them and then horde them for personal usage :)

I'm also wanting to purchase hides locally if there is any kind of profit involved for tanned products, what would be a good price for a raw rabbit hide? I know it wont be "mega profit" but if I can earn $30-40 on 8 hides I can purchase 25 pounds of alum/salt and 2-3 bolts of nylon cord free of charge :)

Just printed tanning instructions from braintan.com . hardest part seems to be the smoking wich makes the hide soft and supple. It also makes it last longer than just oil alone. there is a saying "god gave each animal just enough brains to tann its hide"you get more from good tanned hides and mor likely to get peopl comming back . craft stors sell for around $10-15 dollars. small shops some times moe sometimes less. it hard to know. look on line, I have seen people sell cured and as well as finished pelts on ebay. Also some sell by the sq.foot. One other thing, young rabbits skin is thinner than say a yearlings skin, making it easer to rip when working it and also using the finished product( its not going to stop me, Iwill just use a backing). Good luck, hope it helps :D :bunnyhop:
