HI, I'm not for sure if this is allowed or not but if not (if there is a way), I will delete it as soon as I know.

Does anybody know what breed my rabbit Oliver looks like? I don't have him right now, but I will soon, so I can't tell you his size. We are thinking Chinchilla Rabbit/American mix, but does anyone think he is something else? :bunnyhop:

Thanks in advance!

Neither chinchillas or americans carry broken color pattern(the white body markings), so there must be something else mixed in.

There isn't a whole lot that isn't allowed on here. So don't worry and ask whatever you like :)
If you post something in the wrong section, the mods will just shuffle it to wherever it goes and let you know that they moved it, and where it was moved to.

Welcome to RT!

Cute bun. His head and ears look New Zealand-like, but chances are, you will never really know what he is a cross of. Too many rabbits look a lot alike, and if he is a multi-generational cross, it gets ever harder to tell.

:yeahthat: but it's always fun to try

Only Flemish Giants are shown in such a light grey, other breeds require a darker grey with more black ticking :) and his ears do seem a bit big for his head so I think he might have some Flemish in him.

I assume you think American as he has a semi-arch / mandolin body shape, it's hard to tell in these pictures and we'll need a side profile to tell for certain, but Flemish have a similar body shape :)

I just realized...doh...my avatar bun.

Benny is a New Zealand- check out the ears and head shape.

Here is a picture of my Flemish Giant and New Zealand Cross

its a little blurry- his pedigree: All on his sire line are Flemish Giant and the Dam line is all New Zealand

Thanks guys! I appreciate all the replies! He does look like he has some Flemish in him. I never noticed really!

Also, here is a side picture of his brother. They look the same but Oliver has more gray on him than Monty.

You know what... I just realized I moved somebody's topic a few days ago, and forgot to give them a link. I hope they found it!

I have no clue what his breeding might be, but he's 100% adorable. I don't think I've seen that shade of gray before.
