As my first tractor project,, i built a 3' x 6' rabbit tractor with an 18" insulated, waterproof nesting/sleeping area. The box area and roof is covered with rubber roofing from rv surplus. The nesting area is elevated off the ground with a 1/2" cage bottom for air flow and to allow poop to fall to the ground. The tractor has 6" wheels for easy moving.
The purebred champagne kits loved having the space to move and fresh grass, but I decided to add a door to the front and a movable dog pen for extra exercise and grazing. I have noticed a significant reduction in pellet consumption with this setup.
as soon as all the kits are sold, I will move papa into this tractor and expirament with a duplex tractor for both mothers. if anyone has a good duplex tractor design, let me know!
