I used to have 4 very calm New Zealand White does and and an English Spot buck years ago. I never ever encountered any aggression issues with any of them. We sold them all when I got pregnant and couldn't give them what they needed anymore. I just recently got 1 8mo agouti new zealand doe, 1 8mo broken colored doe and an 8mo cali buck. None are related.
I have tried the agouti doe 2 times and each time the buck would look like he was trying to nurse from her (IT IS NOT YOUR MOM DUDE!!!)
Today I tried putting in the broken colored lady... Same weird nursing thing, then they ran in circles and both hit the ground kicking each other violently! It could have been a mild fight, but since I have never seen a rabbit fight it was VIOLENT to me. I put a nesting box in to bump them with to break them up and promptly took the doe back to her hutch.
Will my buck never breed?
Should I not try that doe again?
I miss my sweet calm babies from before
Thank you in advance for any help and input
