Rabbit allergy medicine

If Snickers is allergic to something, is there something that can help like an over-the-counter medication for rabbits? His eyes look maybe better. I think a slight redness to the edges, a little tearing. No discharge from nose, but when I watch him when he is laying down, not asleep, but just relaxing, he seems to be breathing faster than the other rabbits. I noticed it yesterday.

It's easier and safer to change the bedding or hay they are allergic to. The rabbit medication site has nothing for allergies except prednisone which is overkill. While you could probably give benadryl info on it is scarce, dosage is impossible to find, and most people just change the environment since it's rare for a small animal to be allergic to things outside it's cage. Most likely if you prove it's not illness you would have to consult with a vet.

Maybe see if Franco Rios can help ... someone on his Angora yahoo group had a rabbit last January(?) that ended up being allergic to something in her house ... I believe the vet gave it a shot of the same stuff they use on cats and it cleared it right up. Franco, it was when I left the group.
