So I was checking over my Mini Rex, and my REW buck looks a little abnormal in the genital region. What the heck is going on?! This doesn't look normal to me...

Help!!! :(

I'm not sure but it almost looks like he has three testicles? at least from the pic...is that what you mean?

Yeah they're all...funky. I mean he doesn't "look" like my other bucks, you know what I mean??? Plus his fur is a little gross down there, like he's been peeing himself. IDK.

I see two regular testicles and possibly a cyst, tumor or blood fluid leaked into something. One of the first two is more likely.

i see a little hutch burn and possably a pocket of infection, or a cyst, what ever it is i see a vet visit.

The yellow isn't hutch burn, it's slight staining, that coat and skin look fantastic.
I haven't a clue what that might be sorry Kyle

Not familiar with the term "hutch burn" so I looked it up. It is basically urine-scald, am I right? Yeah he doesn't have that. No skin irritation where he's stained, believe me. He's a white rabbit who is lazy about grooming and likes to spray a LOT. He's on wire, no rest mat any more due to him peeing on it and then SITTING IN PEE...now he has a new game: spray the solid wall in his cage, then rub his face on it. He loves to pee on things, silly buck.

Well the weird extra-testicle looking cyst thing? I can't find it now. However where it WAS looked inflamed when I got him to the show, so I ended up scratching him just in case. :(

I'm half tempted to give him a shot of penicillin just in case, and see how he does...I'm sorry but he won't be seeing a vet. :p He doesn't seem to be in any distress or discomfort, and I don't know what a vet would be willing to do that I'd be willing to pay for. Plus if he does have something wrong with his testicles, chances are the recommendation will be neutering, and frankly I cannot pay for a breeding buck who can't breed, and a show rabbit who can no longer show. :(

Had not thought of that!!!! Maybe a spider? We live so close to the lake, we get a LOT of crazy scary spiders. A wolf spider left a quarter-sized ulcerated infected crater in the center of my back this past winter and I did just smoosh a horrid massive ugly thang in the front yard the other day...

I don't think it was a bite, not on both sides. Either it is his epididymis, slightly swollen, or it is *possibly* that he has inguinal hernias and it was some abdominal contents that were down in the scrotum but have now retracted. I think the former is more likely.

i was referring to the redness in the first picture, not the yellowness :) but pictures can be misleading and i am always parinoid about hutch burn. i had a rabbit who was also lazy about grooming and liked to sit in her pee. despite my best efforts and many bunny brazilians, and adjusting her cage to try to keep her out of her pee, and vet visits, she had to be put down.

"Bunny Brazilians"??? :p I thought only humans get those... :p  :pinkbunny: :pinkbunny: :pinkbunny: :pinkbunny:

No joke, as a pet groomer I've had people ask me to shave JUST their pet's buttparts. Some critters get messy down there. I've had to baboon-butt a few dogs before...and a few cats, LOL. Did it once to an Angora I'd just bought...poor thing had one mat, JUST ONE...on his privates. There was NO way I was gonna brush it off without harming him so I just naked-shaved his junk. :p

Kyle, we have something in common! I too am a pet groomer. I closed down my business to move to Hawaii, but I am still grooming a little bit. I groom cats at a local kennel when one needs grooming. :)
