Right now I have huge pea vines in my garden. They reach over ten feet tall. I am able to trim quite a bit without harming the harvest and my rabbits beg for them. The end of the season however is when the mildew arrives with the first warm weather. Do you think the type of mildew that grows on living plants would be harmful to the bunrabs?

I would definitely NOT give the rabbits any plant with mildew on it. As for the vines themselves, I would want to know what kind of pea vines they are, just to be safe. The plants of all the garden peas I know are safe for rabbits, but I've never seen any as large as you are describing.

Don't many plants release harmful chemicals when stressed or injured? I know that when juicing it is important to remove bruises, scars, etc.

These are sugar snap peas. They grow huge in my garden. You can see they are loaded with pea pods. This pic was taken a couple of months ago. They are even bigger now. I guess my best bet would be to harvest till the first mildew shows up and then cut and dry them as peavine hay.
