Question about sable chinchilla holland

I am breeding chins, squirrel, frosty, opal and chocolate chins. I don't want sable chins because I know they aren't showable. I have a chestnut doe who came from a black chin doe and a sable chin buck. If I breed her to a squirrel buck, is she likely to throw sable chins? I know she will sooner or later, but what I mean is am I better off not breeding her because of the sable chin sire or am I likely to have a sable chin pop up anyways? Thanks

By sable chin do you mean chins with a sable gene or light chin made by sable on agouti? Either way it's a 50% chance the sable gene got passed on and then if it did another 50% chance it will get passed on to the next generation. Sorry I didn't take statistics so I don't know how to combine those percentages. If your squirrel has only chin genes then you will only see regular chins because it is dominant to sable but some could carry sable. Often sable of any type carries himi or rew because otherwise you get the darker seal color so if you are breeding a visually sable parent the offspring might get himi or rew instead.

Well, It just says sable chin on the pedigree, I do know that this buck recently sired a seal also from a different litter. Supposedly this buck sires chins but I'm not sure. Thanks for your reply though, I appreciate it!
