One black doe brought in.
Quarantined her for a month. She passed with flying colours.
Bred her.
Litter of five kits.
Of the five ONE has survived and is thriving in it's pet home. Lost them to a variety of things, all kinda different but nothing I've experienced before. New stuff to my herd.
In the cage next where that doe was raising her litter have three young keeper rabbits. One of them is looking off tonight, slight head tilt and I'm going SHOOT...what did that stupid (now culled rabbit who even culled and examined thoroughly I could see NOTHING wrong with her) doe bring into my herd? I have NEVER EVER had head tilt in my herd, and I'm just ...ARGH!!!!!!!!!!
I'm treating with ivermectin...all three of them. Really glad I didn't put anything into the cage that doe was in. It'll be getting a good scrubbing. But now I'm faced with... do I cull these three kits? I've treated them for now but what do I do? What could this be? E.cuniculi makes sense based on symptoms but it's just so frustrating...
I'm rather quite annoyed.
