In the process of building a standalone hutch which needs to withstand BC's great (rainy) outdoors. The wood isn't treated at all, but I'd like to seal it with something that won't be toxic to my rabbits. The outside I'll probably be painting all barn-like red with normal paint (that the rabbits won't be able to chew), but what can I use for the inside?

Akane uses marine grade polyurethane to treat wood that will be in contact with her animals. It creates an almost plastic like finish. Make sure to allow it to dry completely so there aren't any fumes before using the hutch.
