So I have a doe.
She kindles, has nice kits.
Over the last three weeks IN EACH LITTER.
she has one kit that will progressively have a neck twist (where the head rolls to one side).
DOES NOT respond to medication.
Kit does no rolling, or twisting, just has a neck twist/bend.
I've cull them now simply because they don't respond to medication.
THIS time round I had the magpies raised by another doe and ... it happened again.
I'm thinking some type of a genetic mishap.
It only happens in her magpie kits, and it's always the largest kit of the litter.
So... do you think that I'm spot on?
or that I just have something odd going on with this particular rabbit.
It is ONLY this rabbit that it happens with.
The rabbit in question will be culled when kits are four weeks old. Though they are currently three weeks old now, so tempted to cull her now....
Advice?
thanks.
