Well as some of you know I have been trying to breed my doe for months with no luck. She is a year old now and I was all but giving up on breeding her. Well las night my friend was over with her holland and I was teaching her showmanship with my doe. Her buck say my doe and freaked. Got out of her hands mounted my doe grunted and fell of. I was in shock! After so long of trying it happened on accident! Well then I looked at my friend and was like "well looks like we are having babies! see if he will do it again just to make sure he got her." he did, and fell of. We rebred 8 hours later. Looks like I may have some lion lop babies on the way. I don't mind that it's mixed breed I'm just happy she was bred!

But now the worry has set in. She is a year old and there is that grand old myth of hips "fusing or ligaments tightening" if a doe is not bred before a year. The buck was slightly larger then her to. So I'm kinda worried. I have been told by many that it's a myth so I hope this is true! But just incase so I can be prepared.... What do I do if the babies get stuck? Other then the vet witch will be the very last option cause I don't have money for that. I am hoping I don't need your tips but it's always best to be prepared!

I bought Penicillin G Procaine at Tractor Supply Co. I am not sure what the difference between the two is.

Yes, it's IM.

You keep it refrigerated until dosing, then pull it out to get to room temp so you can shake it well to mix and also so it draws more easily. I would make up all the doses you need at once and then pop them back in the refrigerator. It's a lot easier to bring a small syringe to room temperature than a big bottle of penicillin.
