I have just started sprouting wheat berries and sunflower seeds for my bunnies. I want to try barley but cannot find them in my area (NYC).
I have a bag of popcorn in my pantry. And was wondering if anyone has sprouted popcorn into popcorn grass to feed to the rabbits? Is it safe and nutritious?

I think popcorn sprouts would be safe enough, but I doubt whether they are easy to sprout sucessfully. Corn of any type tends to get mouldy (moldy) when sprouted without soil. I think you would be better off sticking with wheat berries and sunflower seeds.

I have popped plain popcorn in a air popper and fed it to the chickens.
Not sure if rabbits could eat it that way or not.

I don't do any sprouting, but it is something I should look into .

I would think the little husks on the popcorn that get stuck in our teeth could potentially cause issues for the rabbits as well. Not something I'd try personally.

I do know that corn stalks are loves by bunnies though, so it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to try the grass if you could keep it from becoming moldy.

I sprout corn all the time. I soak it for 12 hours in water. Then I put it into a colander (and keep it there) rinsing and stirring it up it 3-4 times a day. After a few days you have some pretty good sprouts.

Key is to rinse rinse rinse rinse rinse! The more you rinse the less chance of mold. And I live in Hawaii the mold capital of the world.

a large muck bucket filled with potting soil-- plant as if it was on an outdoor patio garden, then trim as you feed-- If feeding the leaves and stalks, no need to actually have the things get tall enough to silk...
