Pros to polish. Small size, males are "little gentlemen", easy seller, small litters, I find them super sweet and just a very nice rabbit.
Cons to polish. watch for white areas under pits and on belly, cross ears can be an issue, small litters, pint size meat meat rabbits.
IF I could get a polish that had the highly curious nature of the mini rex I'd be totally sold on them as a breed. As it stands, they are simply a sweet nice rabbit, the boys are just little dollies, the girls I've seen are good moms from the get go.
Pros to mini rex. Highly curious, involved in your life rabbits, medium size small breed (bigger than polish ergo culls have meat on them), the bud/bs are useful for the table, the fur is just lovely.
Cons: hard sell in my area currently, keeping the size down to where you want it to be a challenge, highly curious...ergo smart and can be escape artists, nails need trimming more often. If you get a nasty one they are INDEED nasty not like any other breed I've had. I've only had one nasty one and culled that trait immediately. MOST are super sweet and VERY curious about what is going on around them.. I just LOVE that curiousity.
