I was out taking pictures today of rabbit when I saw something weird in my rabbits poop. I found this clearish/white worms in my doe's poop. So begins treatment :/ It can explain why some of my rabbits have been struggling with weight, I noticed worming then was helping but not completely. Probably because I was treating them with the wrong wormer. I purchased safeguard & DE to start treatment. I plan to bleach all the cages and put DE on the floors and the play pens ( which I guess is where they picked them up). Not something I needed to happen right now but what can you do :?

__________ Fri May 17, 2013 7:01 pm __________

Any tips on treating them?

Bleach will not kill the eggs- you have to use ammonia.

Here is my post on the topic, with necropsy photos showing the worms in the intestine:

This is a very thorough post by Ladysown with recommended dosages for other medications:

Awww I just went through 3 hours of scrubbing the cages before it started to rain. I'll have to do it in a couple of days when the rain stops. I have only one doe that I can physically see the worms. Will this make the compost pile bad to use?
