Old lurker, new poster here. I have found both Rexs and Californians in my area and was thinking about crossing them. What are some of the benefits you see of the offspring? I have also read about Rex genetics and back-crossing kits to the parents to get Rex fur in the 3rd generation, but why do people do this? Does it change up the gene pool or do something to the colors/fur? What are the main characteristics of the offspring you see that differ from both CA and Rex parents typically? Thank you for any insight you can provide, I have definitely been bitten by the rabbit bug!

The rex blood makes them into meat bricks and the NZ gives more size and faster growth besides being great mamas. Callis' are an offshoot of the NZ line so it should work about the same.
