Mini rex buck... Has always eaten whatever brand of pellets I buy. I switched to a least expensive brand, from TSC.... Now he won't eat them, but devours the hay. I gave him a more expensive brand for a few days and he ate them all up. Then I switched him back to the cheap ones and he won't eat them again but loves his hay.
Everybunny else is fine with the cheaper pellets and are growing/nursing well with them. It's just him (and I am not wanting to part with him)....
So what would you do?
a) make him put up with it and just feed him lots of hay (I don't like this option)
b) switch everybunny to the more expensive pellets?
c) just have a separate bag of the pellets he likes on hand
d) give him more exercise so his appetite is increased so that he'll want to eat them
I guess c) would work the best, but that would mean driving 1/2 hour out of my way to get his pellets, and I am not sure it is worth it.
What do you think?
