Oct. I will be getting my Standard Rex rabbits for pellet and meat. I am wondering if Walmart brand pellet is good? The bag says Small World on front. Walmart is around the block and the price seems pretty cheap for the qty.

Its not cheap for how much you will be feeding. Also look at the use buy date every single bag I looked at had gone past the date almost 2 months.

You would do better going to a local feed store or tractor supply. I would wonder on the age of the bag. How long has it been sitting on the shelf or storage? If it is close though that is to be taken in consideration. Congratulations on getting your Rex's in October.

Find a local feed store before picking up your rabbits, and settle on a feed before you get them. A simple yellow pages or google search can yield results for stores you never realized existed before. Also, look at the various feed companies' websites for dealer locators. That will tell you where your nearest dealer for a specific feed will be. I know this is old school, but let your fingers do the walking. It's a whole lot cheaper than gas.

And yes, the Wally World feed will cost you alot more in the long run.

Yeah what they said. The turnover at Walmart is not high enough to trust that feed anyway.
