Thinking about having lapin for one of the wedding meal choices, but I don't know what kind of sauce to use.
I'm going to pick a random pasta, maybe a cool shape or w/e, that I find most interesting. But I don't know what sauce would be best to use.
At home, we've made it with 'mushroom sauce' and added mushrooms. Tomato, Alfredo & Four Cheese Sauce. Added broccoli and cauliflower to these as well.
But looking for other ideas that I'm not used to eating that would be nice. Something not spicy or too heavy, it's a luncheon.

Also, do you think the chef will accept my rabbits if they don't go to an fda processor? I'm trying to save $, not toss it out the window...

rabbit Parmesan (excellent) large or small chunks probably small since your doing a luncheon.
rabbit & spinach lasagna (I normally use chicken but this is on my list)

WEDDING???

You are getting married, CnB?!? :p

:congratulations:

Lol, thanks you guys. We've been engaged since January the year before last.
I'm just not very motivated. =D Whoopsies.

Congratulations! :congratulations:

Maybe you could still do a mushroom sauce, but with some of those more delicate-looking mushrooms. And maybe a red wine or burgundy sauce. :)

I am making myself hungry!

Thanks.

Random, unrelated update; Just got back from the vet, Dober tore a ligament and has bad arthritis in that knee now. On drugs and rest for two weeks, but he'll always limp on and off and be on joint supplements, might need other drugs on and off forever later on as well...$160 today and paid off the $500 that was still due from before...officially broke now. He used to be such a cheap dog to own...He goes through two bags of puppy food a month to 1.5mo now, the brand no longer has 45lbs bags, only 30 and worse yet, the same price as the old 45lbs bag!! Ugh, but it's the only food he will eat on his own.
Vet said I could go to a specialist, but that would cost $3,000 or more!! He's almost 7yrs old, crazy as well, no way I could justify the cost when he might tear it again after his surgery's rest period...ugh.

I'm using some left over Cosequin, then human Glucosamine pills, since those are far cheaper.
I'm sure they have an all three one for people, too. And yes, people supplements are dog safe, checked with my old vet.

The best one to ask that question is your chef, the worst they can say is No. Is this going to be at a private venue or a public one? That may make a difference as well.

Does it need to be pasta? I can't quite cook rabbit so it ends up pretty, but my favorite is at restaurants when they cut it up into little filets and serve it with a fruity sauce, raspberry or pomegranate or something fancy.

sooooo excited for you!!!
