My doe Gem felt SUPER-pregnant...when I palpated her I could not count the little round things, her whole belly was almost bulging with them! When she was bred, she lifted sky-high and the buck covered her half a dozen times between the two meets they had, morning and evening.
Today I moved her to the "mommy cage" so let her adjust for a few days before I hand her a nest box, and just because I felt like it I gently palpated again. By now they should be even bigger, right?
I felt nothing. :? Uhm. Where did they GO? Has she reabsorbed them???
My other doe, I palpated her and I found one grape. ONE. I kneaded my fingers all over her abdomen, just found the one. I well remember how badly my other "single kit" litter did............if she delivers, she's due around the time that Gem is due, should I hedge my bets and foster before there's an issue? (that's IF Gem is still preggers!!!)
