ok, so I'm an idiot

I ordered a three hole transport cage for my daughter to carry her rabbits to shows. It came precut, and with J clips, but I had to assemble it.
No big deal, right?
I'm so use to building regular cages and not transport cages that sit into a metal pan. So I start putting it together, attaching the bottom wire to the very bottom of the side panels. I realized my mistake when it was attached all the way around.

Removing J clips is soooo much fun....

Oh, man! I have found that wire cutters work pretty well- since the blades are angled they can slip between the edges of the J clip and then you just twist it open and pull it off.

Yup, thats what I used. Apparently I'm not the only goober out there, I see that Bass sells a pair of pliers designed to take off J clips.

umm. that's called my "husband will fix it" problem to me :lol:

I guess I should add: he doesn't SAY I suffer from "this rabbit thing", but I KNOW he thinks it. But still, he fixes all the problems I create when I try something new.
He always says "anything is fixable" ... so...

MEh, it happens...lol. If that is the ONLY mistake you make, you will be doing better than the rest of us! LOL

We like our J-Clip removers even though we don't use them much, nice to have when they are needed. They remove them so easily.
