I was looking at all my White Pointed babies tonight and there are four chubby little pointed blacks and the little one I was hoping would make a nice show bunny is martenized. Seriously, Of all the dumb luck. So my hopes are back onto the shadeds. I am going to breed Mrs. Peebody (AKA Good Shot) again and hope for a nice pointed white little doe. Maybe Ill breed her to Cool Shot this time and eliminate the Marten genetics This time around and then cross that with Double Shot When it grows up. But this little one if a buck may work out for my shadeds. I guess we'll see how it grows up.

__________ Wed Nov 14, 2012 4:06 pm __________

So I rebred Good Shot to my other buck today. We'll see what she gives me this time. If not anything I think is worth keeping she is going. I think I prefer the shadeds any ways.

So may just have a pair of Pointed Whites for sale in a few months that are proven breeders. Don't get me wrong. The kits are all nice. They just aren't really giving me that "Wow! I need to keep that kit!" feeling. Now all 4 sables are wonderful. Can't wait to see what they look like in another week.

And today I saw the most beautiful sable point Jersey Woolies EVER!!!! on FB. I will have a group of those in my rabbitry one day too. Just watch and see!!! lol

Couldn't agree more tm_bunnyloft, sable points are beautiful bunnies!
I would snap one up if I could find them.
Good-luck with your next litters......it can be so hard to get both good type, and good color on the same rabbit.
I have a litter on the way by a martenized Pointed white (who I think, actually, has lines very similiar to yours....he is by Schultz's Double Shot....did you mention you have one named Double shot?).....can't wait to see what they look like!

Are you cutting the hair before you breed? No litters yet, way past due dates. One is living in the cage with the buck. Wondering if I should cut the hair away from her genitals before making a second attempt?

Nope not cutting any hair. Though I do brush them out well before breeding.

I haveSchultz's cool shot, Schultz's good shot, And Backwoods double shot. Then I have pedlar's KK. I am trying to build my own line of shaded from scratch. And hoping for sable points as well, when I grow up.

__________ Mon Nov 26, 2012 11:57 pm __________

I would seperate them for a bit then try again.

I put her in the other bucks cage, then put her back. He went wild, but no breeding.

Oops, went back and looked up pedigrees......the Dad to my buck is Backwoods Double Shot, not Schultz's. Our bunnies are related!
