oatmeal for kits

How much oatmeal do you sprinkle in the nest box for kits? My 2.5 wkers are getting brave. they are climbing to the edge of the box and loving on mama. Thy have not hopped out yet but have also gotten very vocal. They are nibbling on the hay in the box as well.

I give mine horse oats and rabbit pellets in the nest box as soon as they can easily hop in and out to visit the water bowl.

Mom gets a bit to so she doesn't gobble up theirs.

Teaspoon for a few days, if things go smoothly, then a tablespoon a day. After a week, they should be out of the nest and you can have a dish of some for them instead.

i tip the box at two weeks so it makes it easy for them to get in and out. Only the slow to get started ones get feed in their boxes. most as soon as I tip are out exploring and nibbling.
