It would certainly be better to give them to a pig than the bunnies. There are conflicting reports on oak leaves and acorns for rabbits, but they are high in tannins and I really can't recommend them.

Hmmmm.... Maybe you should gather them up and get a pig!

One of my bunnies used to LOVE oak leaves. She only got limited amounts of it, a leaf here and there while out in the playpen. I never really noticed it make her sick, until one day my dad gave her a whole heap of leaves and sticks to play in and she pigged out on it and came down sick, all not wanting to move or do anything. :/ After that, I don't think I'd deliberately feed oak-anything to them. >.>

My tribe nibble on the oak leaves but I make sure there are only one or two in the bunny run. No illness have occurred with the tiny amounts they nibble on. The acorns never stay in the bunny run. Have no clue about the acorns and don't want to even try with them.
