Nyjer thistle seed

Has any one fed this to your rabbits? I can get it cheap to add to the fodder sprout grains if it is safe.

Nyjer seed is the tiny black seed that people use for bird feeders for smaller birds, right?

It may not sprout. Nyjer seed is typically imported and is heat sterilized to kill contaminating weeds seeds. I would think that would mean the nyjer seed would not be viable either. I could find nothing to suggest the seed is toxic, but also found nothing to suggest its use for rabbits.
