Should be disappointed or relieved?

Sold Petey...narrow built Polish with a GREAT head. He went to a splendid home.
Bred him to a variety of my does to see if I could get another kit with a great head but just a bit more depth/width to him.

EVERY Single one of those does has had a dead litter. Not a one with even ONE live kit! ARGH!!!!!!!!!

Rather disappointing that.

But should I be disappointed?

Might be a genetic fault in him that is letting this happen? all the does made decent nests, kits are found still warm so don't think it's cause it's winter.... it's just an ARGH time...

I just LOVED his head and letting him go to that splendid home was lovely since it's harder to find homes for older buns so I can't fault that decision...

This too, will pass.

Wow... so sorry to hear that!

That is so sad, but I think you should be relieved. It sounds like he had an unseen but significant genetic fault.

It's wonderful you found him a good home! I hope they give each other many years of happiness!
