I have a doe, Little Girl, who isn't due until April 19th - 22ed as she was bred on March 22. I kept her with her cage mate (a doe, Fay) until yesterday afternoon and once I put her in her own cage she had started to try to build a nest yesterday/last night but there wasn't enough hay in there as I doubt she is bred due to being so fat. I put in more hay today and the pictures below is what happened. My mom told me she has pulled fur but I haven't gone to look at that yet. Little Girl is a first time mom if she did get bred. so is what she doing normal or just very early planning?
I also wonder why she decided to put it between the water and food rather than under the platform were she likes to hide at. But I don't think anyone here can answer that since I think that's just a wired animal thing. Or smart planning to where she can reach both without leaving her nest.
