Hello, it's me again!
I had 4 does bred, 3 pregnant, 2 surviving litters, 7 babies total.
One doe took but is small and as a Holland has issues with fat headed babies, all 4 of hers were born doa and stretched unfortunately. This was her second pregnancy with a much smaller buck this time in hopes it would mean smaller babies. She will make a great pet for someone, I'm going to see if I can find her a home.
Second doe is my best producer and mother, she built a beautiful nest days in advance (she was haystaching day 27), and delivered 6 fat and happy kits Sunday morning. Right now my guesses for colors are three harli, two black tort, and one broken black tort. But! One of the harli is very pale still so maaaaaybe magpie? I can't see any color yet and the other two are already orange tinted.
Third doe is almost 5 months old I went ahead and bred her so maybe in the fall we won't have such a rough start since she's got a litter under her belt. She waited until the last minute Sunday night to build her nest and had one single very chunky kit. I borrowed on of the kits from the other litter and gave the single kit a littermate, new mom is doing great with both of them. I think it is a blue torted harli. Waiting for more fur to be sure.
Pictures to come!
