Yes, they are fantastic meat rabbits but they do grow slower. Ours are around 15-17lbs. Meat is delicious and lots of it. Wonderful pets too!Are the Flemish Giants a better breed for meat than the other two? I'd heard that they grow slower?
I had a Foster rabbit named Rose. Flemish Giant and Lionhead mix. He was so nice and friendly!Wonderful pets too!
My doe had her babies this morning! Last December she had 10 but they were all premature (28 days) and they all died. She went 31 days. Not sure how many yet! We’ve been raising rabbits for meat for 7 years. Started with Californian and New Zealand’s and now Flemish Giants.
