Hello everyone! I’m new to the site and breed Lionheads mainly but have decided to add Netherland Dwarfs to my rabbitry. I was wondering if anyone could help me identify what colors I have and what colored kits I might produce with my breeders.

Midnight (Buck): Black otter?

Milo (Buck): Chinchilla?

Oreo (Doe): Not sure what color she is

Maybelle (Doe): Chinchilla?

I bred Midnight and Maybelle and got my first litter. The kits are a about 3 weeks old now and I believe they are squirrels? Chestnuts?

My plan is to breed Maybelle and Milo next. Any ideas as to what colored kits they might produce?

You've got all the colors right, the babies all look like chinchillas (Maybe Squirrels though)

The black and white one is a black with Dutch and/or Vianne genes

Thank you guys! Oh no now I’m a little worried lol. Psychotic as in mean or wild acting? Midnight the black otter buck is my favorite. He’s so sweet and laid back. The others are a little skittish but not really anymore than some of my Lionheads.

I wanted to see what you guys thought about the babies again. They are still very much more brown than their chinchilla mom. Do they loose it as they get older?
