Two of the Cal kits came down with nest eye, eye did not open, I treated it, it opened for a while and sealed bback up. After a few days I got tired and gave up. After a while I removed them from the others, and now, at 10 weeks, both have there eyes open and have no sign of any problems.

They are ok now without my help.

Should I just cull them anyway?

I'd eat them, not breed them.
I'm starting to think nest eye is a version of P. I never had it until after the outbreak of P I had, I don't keep, nor sell any kits that had bad eyes.

yep, heard that too, which is why I separated them. it's just so odd that it cleared up without any blindness just by leaving ti alone, mostly when I separated the two.

I don't eat them, if it's P then they can't be raw food for the dogs, can they still be snake food?

I give them all to the dogs, never had issues. Can dogs get P??
I never treat nest eye, just wipe it off with water. It either goes away or sticks around, either way, gets butchered, never sold.

I heard that one too. It's never stopped me before, I've always fed them the sick ones, but someone posted on here not to do it.

Unfortunately these ones are the best in type of the litter, but I'm not desperate, I have the Cal Rex sire, I can make more.

I feed my dogs alot of wild muskrat/beaver and to prevent parasite/disease transmission I just throw the carcass into a pot of boiling water until it is lightly cooked. The dogs dont like it quite as much as raw but they eat it.

Pasteurella is zoonotic, so it can be passed to cats and dogs if you feed raw. You could freeze it for a while then thaw and feed.
