Name that breed!

So we have a new addition to our rabbits. Her name is Cloudy. A friend of ours gave her to use, because her kids have pet rabbits. A friend of our friend said she got cloudy from I think she said a store, but did not want to take care of her, so she gave Cloudy to our friend for her kids. She gave cloudy to us, because her kids are not able to handle her, or get her out of her cage. She said Cloudy is very jumpy, hyper, and voice tress. I told her I would take her, and see if we could handle her. She just dropped her off, I picked up from the box, and she was pretty calm, and a tiny bit grunty, but I was able to pet her, pick her up from my lap, and kiss her nose. I put her in the cage to grab my phone so I could get some pictures. I went to take her back out of the cage, and boy did she change. She started squealing, grunt, and running all over the cage. Once I got a hold of her she was quiet as a church mouse, and once I got her on my lap she was once again just fine. I checked her over, and she's In very good health, didn't fuss when I flipped her. She's a beautiful girl, and pretty sweet when out of her cage. Now the thing is, I need helping deciding what breed she is. To me she looks like a Silver Fox. Her sides, and back of the head are lined with silver fur. Her back is black, and she is shedding like crazy right not. I stroked her first backwards, and it stood on end until I smoothed it back out.

This colour looks more like silver tipped steel to me but I'm not familiar with the variations the silver gene can have on crossbreds and she could be a Silver Fox cross :shrug:

I also think she looks like a silver tipped steel. (chinchilla steel)
Which is genetically very different than silverfox si silvering, although it can look similar in pics.

In a silver tipped steel the silvering will actually look more grey or metallic silver, where on a silverfox, or champage d'argent the silvering will just be white hairs.

Meat mutts with NZ, some chinchilla breed, or flemish giant in their background seem to be the most likely to come in that color.

Any ideas as to why she is so high strung?

Once I have her in my lap she is sweet as pie, I've got her to the point now to where she is not as crazy when go to get her out of the cage.

Any rabbit can be high strung. Maybe she needs time to settle in..

Sometimes high anxiety is a genetic trait, and sometimes it's related to nurture and socialization.
New Zealands are pretty notorious for it, although certainly not all lines.
