I wanted to show off my new does. I'm having tech. issues but will post the other 4 in my breeding herd as I get time to mess with it.

Wow! Very, very nice! They look like meat rabbits. :D (No offense, I hope! That is meant as a compliment!)

They are out of some really good show mini lop lines. No offence taken but mini lops don't grow very fast, they do get big enough to eat but I would think they would get tough before they were to reach a good weight, plus they are kind of pricey for that use. :)

This is HL1 "Harley" my Sr. Buck

This is 12ND2 "Louise" my non-pedigree black frosted pearl sr. doe. I had to put her with another doe to get them in the A/C about 2 weeks ago and the other one attacked her, that is the sore on her crown. it is healing ok though and I think she will be fine. She throws big litters of healthy babies with good type and does a great job raising them!

This is BT2A a junior I am saving back out of Louise's littermate sister and the buck in my avatar. She is 8 1/2 weeks here.

I'm also buying back, after this 4-H season, BL1A a solid chestnut buck out of Louise and the Buck in my avatar. "buster was pedigree but I couldn't sfford his papers until after I lost him so his kits a first gen. pedigree. HL1 is a full brother to HLRB2 and MJ6H is a litter mate to their Dam.

__________ Tue Jul 10, 2012 6:33 pm __________

MJ6H, HL1, and HLRB2 are out of Harmon, Hemphill, Parker, and Dunlap Parker lines and HL1 and HLRB2 also have Rugen, Desurra, and Cole lines for those that the names make sense to. And Buster was a Schmidt buck.

Thank you satins! Louise is the worst one but she throws better type than herself. I will be replacing her with a daughter next year. I am working toward all full pedigree. I would just sell off the non-pedigrees but theres nothing wrong with them and it's cheaper to work toward full pedigree and diversify my lines with them. Plus her and her sister have mothering abilities that most show lines lack in, I want to breed that in.

Very nice. Always a pleasure to see nice Mini Lops, we get very few around here. Most lops are English or Holland at the shows.

The old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies here.

If you're getting good litters out of Louise, keep her around and milk it for all it's worth.

The only issue I have is space. Once I move the rabbits and expand my pens I will beable to have 2 bucks and 6 does, but thats not until nov. As of now I don't have a single empty hole. Louise and her litter mate are throwing about 1/2 show quality and 1/2 pet quality in their litters and she sisters type isn't as nice. I have her sister (Dam of BT2A) and a solid black buck (littermate to BT2A) for sale now for $10 ea. the doe is non-pedigree tatooed and the young buck is 1 gen. pedigreed. Thank you all for the compliments, I have my first show on 8/5 and will be taking HL1, MJ6H, HLRB2, and if she makes weight in time BT2A.
