My cages are done.
Well, for now ;)
I have enough for all the planned rabbits and grow outs, as I am going to move a couple on in the fall.
There is great ventilation and no direct sun.
For winter we are going to shutter the screens.
Also planning to put down a vinyl (or whatever is cheap
And washable ) floor.

Right now all waste drops to the floor and I sweep up, using shavings in the pee areas beneath each pen. Pretty easy.
I have vapour barrier plastic under the upper rows and just dump this into the swept up pile, brushing off any stuck stuff, washing and replacing as needed. All goes out to manure pile (to be composted).

This works, and I think trays under the cages would be an extra and messy step. But maybe slant boards are what I need?
I do have a couple that like to pee at the front so it icks things up for me and those below them.
We left space between levels for something...

What do you think?
Material suggestion? Hubby is thinking coroplast.
Open to any ideas for clean and quick!

Nice set up!

We love our slant boards/trough/bucket system. I think my hubby loves the manure more than the buns. As far as materials for the slant boards, we use whatever we have on hand or whatever is cheapest. At the moment, ours are made from a combination of flashing, metal mobile home skirting, and metal guttering. We slant the guttering to one end of the cages, and have a five gallon bucket at the end of the guttering to catch the waste. Easy clean up, and into the compost bin it goes.

Looking at your pics, I am just not sure you have enough space between the tiers of cages. I have learned that you really want enough space to get a brush of some kind (we use a long handled car brush/ice scraper thingy) over the board to brush down anything that doesn't slide all the way down. I also hose down the board every week or so and made sure we kept enough room to do that.
