What’s a natural and effective mosquito repellant that’s safe for rabbits and won’t attract the many neighbourhood cats (catnip)? I would really like catnip for its many other benefits too, but we have a large feral cat population our town feeds and protects 🙄

depending on your set up, I might suggest window screens...It comes in metal and can be placed on the outside of the caging. for the bottom, depending on what your set up is, you might be able to screen in a box under the cages. Mostly I have been fortunate that my rabbits are not bothered--they just eat me!

I personally use peppermint oil on my self and have peppermint plants to help deter mosquitos. Im not sure if wiping the out edges of the cages with peppermint oil may help and using mosquito nets over the cages maybe efficient.

Only Natural Pet has natural flea, tick, and mosquito repellents. This one is safe for dogs and cats. It is wiped on every two to three days. I don't know if it is safe for rabbits, though. Calling the company to see if they know would be a good idea before using it. They use geraniol, peppermint oil, and thyme oil in the wipes.
