Seems to be happening overnight, or at least sometime between 4AM and noon. (*cough* I'm not a morning person & I check/play with them before I fall asleep.) The fur's not exactly falling out when I pet them or tug on it. Sort of doubt it's some animal doing it too though; the loose yard bunny is still all right. It's been pretty cool lately too, below 80.
A couple weeks ago I changed their feed to something they prefer, but I'm suspicious this has got something to do with it. I've noticed them licking me and the bars an awful lot lately; mum's picked up some salt&mineral spools till I run out of this new feed, in case it's missing something.
It started with just Moo, and a few days later Starr, a couple cages over, was missing fur from her face too. Figured it was the rabbit between them pulling it off, but then a couple days later, a buck in the row over was missing a big patch of fur from his face, and the one at the end of the row was missing just enough for me to notice that day too. Starr lost more fur, on her sides just above about where her hind toes touch her belly; pretty symmetrical.
Does this sound like it could be the feed? They seem fine except for the missing fur. :/
