mini Rex bunnies Updated 2 week pics

Robins doe Firecracker gave us 5 bunnies. She is super excited these are our first babies. Where thinking colors are 2 blacks?? 2 broken black and a Charlie??. Not sure how the Charlie came about from a solid to broken but what ever it is where happy. Know to wait for the hair to come in so we can figure out colors for sure.

Ok being she caries tort where thinking the Charlie is a broken tort. And both the solid blacks are not both have pink bellies 1 maybe a tort but not sure o the other

Adorable babies! I love Mini Rex babies!

Don't worry about the Charlie. You can get false charlies in solid x broken breedings. It's a DQ if they have less than 10% color and no color in the whisker bed. It goes hand in hand with booted rabbits. Better culled from the breeding program because its just a problem that will keep cropping up (Unless you really,really,really need what they have and ready to live with what it could potentially do in your program). Things like this seem to always crop up with the best of the litter!

Perhaps it's a REW instead of a false Charlie.

I think they are black and not tort. The bellies of blacks are slightly lighter since there is less hair there but time will tell

I now see the spots in the false Charlie, he is really minimally marked.

Well there a week old 1 dark one died the other one turned black. And the one i thought was a charlie then a tort know looks like a broken chocolate. I put a pic of it in my hand on here.
I have just put a nestbox in for C.C a broken chocolate mini rex she is due Wed.

Updated pics
2 weeks old and looking so cute. Just cant wait to sex them and know for sure what we got. So far the 2 i wanted to keep the broken chocolate and 1 of the broken blacks looks to be bucks . Anyway just wanted to show off our first and only litter so far. And i think all there ears will be big that's our big main problem. We got a new otter buck that i cant wait to use on the dam to see if the ear size on some of the babies will be better in the next litter.
