I'm not sure exactly where this should be posted so sorry if this isn't the place.
I bred one of my mini rex does yesterday morning and then last night when I went out to feed there were loose stools all over her cage. This has happened once before with one of the meat rabbits and she ended up raising her babies just fine. Should I be worried? Could it possibly be from the stress of breeding? I gave her a bunch of hay last night and this morning there was no evidence of any more loose stools. My second question is if a mini rex doe is 4 months but senior weight is it ok to breed her? I have another doe I'd like to breed, but don't want to harm her in the process. I don't really remember ever having this issue before as I've never had a doe at senior weight before 6 months.

I wouldnt worry too much about the loose stools as long as theyre gone by now. If not I would just worry about dehydration. As far as breeding at four months, Ive dont it at 5 but ive never had a doe come into heat that early so I couldnt tell you

If she's senior weight she should be fine if she accepts the buck, she may not and if she doesn't give her a while before trying her again. She'll tell you when she's ready.

Rabbits don't "come into heat" as they don't have a "heat cycle" like other mammals. They are "induced ovulators", meaning the act of mating is what causes them to ovulate. If you check her vent area and it looks dark pink/purple, swollen and moist, then she will likely be receptive to the buck. I breed mine at 4months regularly, since they tend to be at or close to senior weight by then...
