I finally found a male jersey wooly with blue eyes (I've been wanting a blue eyed white jersey wooly for ages) now that he's grown I suspect he is mixed with minilop. I'm worried he is going be too big to breed to my female jersey wooly. He is 3.5 pounds and my female is 3.2 pounds. So is the male too big to breed to my female?

You are fretting needlessly,
there is nothing to worry about.
The weight of the buck is so minute.
just go ahead and breed them and
let nature take it's course.
Ottersatin. :eek:ldtimer:

There would *maybe* be an issue if the male was twice her size or bigger. As it is, there really isn't much of a difference at all.

Better to fret too much than not at all! :)

What makes you think he is mixed with mini lop?

:secret: By the way, you will score big points with the other JW owners here if you post a pic of him- BEWs are scarce around here! ;)

Well, I don't own any JW, but I agree 100%! Of course that will start my raging rabbitosis again, but I can't resist!

I live in New Zealand and I don't think anyone has imported a Bew Jersey wooly or a BEW netherland dwarf but there are people trying to breed them by starting with BEW minilops- the blue eyed jersey wooly I have looks a lot like a fuzzy lop- he has helicopter ears.
