Today when I was outside doing some work my other Harlequin Doe Maggie finally kindled. She gave birth to 6 babies. I did breed her again by keeping her in with my buck for a week since I didn't think the first time took. so wonder if she may have more in the next few days. I gave her fresh raspberry leaves everyday for past several days. but she barely nibbled them. Mollie on the other hand loved them. I am also giving them alfalfa hay and dandelion greens to try to help them with energy. A few of Mollies babies started to open their eyes today. The first litter for both of them.

Once a litter is conceived any developing eggs stop developing, superfoetation isn't something seen in rabbits so what you've got for kits is what you've got in the litter.

I have read that rabbits have two uterine horns and can be pregnant with two litters at the same time. most of the time one of the litters wont survive but sometimes they both do.
