Lop color guide question- Standard of perfection

In the Standard of perfection, for the broken lop color it says," Any recognized breed color in conjunction with white and carrying the breed pattern." What is the "breed pattern"? :x Is it the next line, "Body pattern may be spotted, patches or a blanket. Head marking are to show color on both ears, both eye circles, and on the nose."

I have no idea, but I would think it is the next line. Does it get any more specific on percentage of white to color?

It doesn't have a percentage, that was what I was looking for. Just moves on to eye color.
Like a smart farmer once told me, "know the rules, but more importantly, find out the unspoken rules".
That's what I'm trying to find out.

I don't think percentages apply to the lops, but I could be very wrong.

apologies if this gets too wordy...

Not certain which of the lop breeds You have... but from the 2011-2015 SOP...

English Lops..."there should be a nose marking (butterfly preferred), a dark circle around eack eye, and dark colored ears.Blanket pattern is preferred.The color line shouldstart behind the head, on the shoulders, and make a sweep to the lower part of the hips. Feet and legs should be white, with the exception of elbow spots that are normal and desirable". .........Lster on as a DQ "brokens with less than 10% color."

French lops... the same

Mini Lops allow a spotted pattern as well as the blanket. Still a DQ if less than 10% coloring

Forgot Hollands... Hollands allow...Blanket, Spotted or Patched They want between 70% and 10% color on the rabbit...DQ for less than 10% color.

I'm guessing here that 'Breed Pattern' is ...for French and English...the blanket... and for Minis...either the blanket or spotted.

Following the minis are several pages describing the various colors permitted.

I dug out my SOP yesterday and while going through it I came across this that may apply. On page 33 under ARBA DISQUALIFICATIONS FROM COMPETITION (All Breeds) BROKEN COLOR(*)-Brokens with less than 10% cloration, in the judges opinion.

I know that applies for other breeds, but I don't think it does for Lops.

I looked it up and you are correct. No where does it say anything about DQ for more than 50% coloration. That was a fact I needed to know. Thanks!
