The high temps were supposed to be behind us, but naturally the forecast has changed. I've gone so far as to put away all my ice bottles in storage except for a few. Now it looks like tomorrow and Saturday are going to be hot and I'm not going to be home either day to bunnysit. I leave tomorrow at noon to chaperon the band trip for an out of town football game. We don't leave until after noon, so I could toss in some ice bottles early just in case. The temps are only supposed to get to 96 and my rabbits usually tolerate that fine if there's a breeze or a little spritzing, but 96 on the forecast could mean 98 or 99 before it's all said and done. Saturday is supposed to be warmer and I have family coming in and we are going to swimming for the day about an hour away. I think DH might stay home. If he does he can give them some ice bottles, but he's not always as concerned about these things as I would like him to be. The rabbits are "my thing" which is his way of shirking any kind of responsibility for them.
bleh, when is going to just cool down enough already??? Hopefully soon, since I have already resumed breeding! Of course when you live where it might be 80+ degrees on Christmas day, you should just stay prepared for anything.
