Whitey and Ms. Tenino kindled a couple days apart: Mar 17 and 20. Both threw 10; Ms Tenino lost three (one at birth and two dragged out of the box from feeding).
Weighed them tonight:
Whitey average 2lbs
Ms Tenino average 2.5 lbs.
Both are experienced Moms, Whitey and Curly (on deck) are our original does. Whitey has had a bad habit of scrabbling, over the past few days, I have pulled her from the cage most days and nights as most of the food is in the pan. The kits eat like they are starved once its refilled.
She nurses heavy when I return her and they all nuzzle. I am assuming the largest difference is the lack of available food.
any thoughts???
