Is it normal to have a difference in weights for 1 week old lionhead babies? I decided to weigh ours today and there is 1 oz more in weight from the biggest to the smallest, while only a .6 oz difference between the smallest and the other 2. Would missing 1 feeding make the difference? I checked them this morning and the smallest one did not eat last night while the others did.

It is normal to have kits that are not all the same weight but close. One feeding can make a difference especially in young kits. If one is not eating try to take the doe flip her on her back and hold to kit to her teat allowing the kit to eat at least until you see the round well fed belly. :bunnyhop:
hope this helps. :D

She normally feeds them in about 1 hr so I will be checking tonight around then. Hopefully it was only a 1x thing where this particular baby missed feeding since this was the 1st time any did not feed overnight.

Well I hope they do all right but if they do not feed again I suggest you try feeding them with the doe in your lap. Best of luck! I love lionheads breed and raise them myself Warm Cozzy Lions Rabbitry. :)

My lionhead rabbits have varied by an ounce at week one. My most recent litter I weighed in today at 2 weeks and they had a range of 30 grams so just over an ounce. I didn't weigh these at 1 week but have in the past and seen similar ranges.
