Sorry I haven't been around much. There's lot going on lately. My husband, and I will be getting officially married August 13th! We finally got the second hutch done, and moved the rabbits into the garage, and our daughter will be starting Pre-K soon!

So anyways! I've always noticed that some days when the rabbits pee, when it dries it is white-ish. Then some days it's normal. Since they have been the garage, and I can see their pee on the dark concrete floor again some days it dries completely white, other days it just looks like dry pee? I've read that it means they have too much Calcium in their diet, but I wanted your guys opinions too. Their diet has always been the same. Always fresh water.

Any suggestions?

Rabbits do not seem to suffer excess calcium problems as badly as some other animals like guinea pigs. Some dried calcium is normal. Even with guinea pigs so long as it is a smooth, thin layer it is not considered a problem. When it gets gritty there is a greater risk it will turn to stones but I have not heard of anyone having to treat a rabbit for calcium stones. Of course if you are feeding foods that aren't the typical pellets and hay you have to pay more attention.

It is indeed a smooth pee. (should have seen my husbands face as I was checking for that, haha.) Yes it is pretty basic/normal pellets that they get. No hay. Some nights they get oats as a treat, a maple branch, or 2, but nothing other than that.
